The City of Bengaluru has emerged as the IT, Biotech, Startups and deep tech capital of Karnataka and India and it hosts 400+ out of fortune 500 companies in its premises. Inspired by the growth of Bengaluru, other cities in Karnataka are also gearing up to become the next best destinations for technology and innovation.

Government of Karnataka has established the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) to bridge the gap between industry and government and to enhance tech ecosystem in the State. KDEM envisions to harness the unlimited potential of the digital economy of Karnataka by focussing on IT Products and services, BPM and GCC Promotion, Innovation & Startups, ESDM, programs like Beyond Bengaluru, and Talent Accelerator; and contribute largest share in the Hon'ble PMs vision of USD 1 Trillion digital economy of India by 2025-26.

KDEM's Beyond Bengaluru initiative is aimed at working towards the promotion of emerging technology clusters in emerging tech clusters across the State. It is expected that such initiatives will lead to increasing demand from tech-based industries to strengthen their footing in the emerging tech clusters of the State in line with Hon'ble PMs vision of even growth across the country.
